Ciclabile ValSeriana (Ranica Clusone)

A long thread, now stretched, now more curved, now branched. This is how the route of the cycle-pedestrian path of Val Seriana appears from above, which, according to many, is considered one of the most beautiful routes in Lombardy. Together with the Serio, it forms the true link of the extremely varied and extensive valley terrain, offering tourists the opportunity to embrace very different environments and skylines. The absence of significant elevation changes and the accessibility of the route, whether on dirt or asphalt, make the cycle path perfectly suitable for families or for those who wish to engage in sports without aiming for the Olympics. Trekking, mountain biking, and roller skating are the most practiced activities.

The main section between Ranica and Clusone (31.5 km) stubbornly follows the course of the great river and is accompanied, up to Albino, by a parallel route originating from Villa di Serio that intersects with the main path at several points. At Ponte Nossa, the only "steep section" to bridge the gap between the valley floor and the high plateau up to the capital Clusone and from here the new routes of Alta Valle: Piario-Villa d'Ogna-Ardesio and Gromo-Valbondione. Soon to be implemented, to complete the important network, the Presolana cycle path will be able to connect Clusone to Castione della Presolana.
