Nürburgring (Grüne Hölle)

Brief description: around the Nürburgring (Nordschleife). The path is well signposted.

Track description:

In Andernach, follow the signposts (see photos). The route climbs steeply to the Hohe Acht, along the Nordschleife. The path there is mostly gravel and scree. Not pleasant to ride. At the top, there is a large parking area with a small snack bar (the coffee was good :-). Cross the parking lot to the federal road. There it is a bit awkward along the guardrail (about 100m). From here it continues more relaxed. The Nordschleife is always on the right. Always follow the signposts. Sometimes they are a bit hidden or absent. But you do have GPS ;-) Along the way, nice descents and smaller climbs. Only in the last third of the route does a nice singletrail through the forest appear.

Track comment:

Nice to have been there at least once. But the tour is not really recommended. For motorsport fans, certainly interesting as there is a lot to see along the Nordschleife. Beautiful scenery, but unfortunately the paths are not. Too much asphalt and scree.
