Rundtour Niederdorla - Rennstieg

The tour starts at the PALUMPA-Land campsite by the reservoir near Niederdorla. Via paved roads, you get from Oppershausen to Kammerforst and from there to the 'Zollgarten' parking lot at the edge of the Hainich Nature Park. A long climb on a well-drivable gravel path leads us to the ridge of the Hainich, the RENNSTIEG (not to be confused with the Rennsteig). We turn right here and follow its further marked course with R. Via the IRON HAND, we reach the BEGGARS OAK and from there continue through the forest to the ANTONIUSWIESE, a large clearing where we cross another path. Continuing along the Rennstieg, we reach the L 1016, which we cross. The next clearing is SCHILDCHEN, where benches and tables invite you to rest.

One last effort takes us finally to the L 2104, on which we turn right. After about 600 m, we turn right again onto the next solid forest road into the LANGULAER VALLEY. In a steady descent, we reach Langula and again the L 1016, which we follow to the left. We return to the starting point via Niederdorla.
