Character of the city of the raftmen: gravel path to Arzbach, then asphalted road to the Isar reservoir. Narrow streets with inclines up to Rothmühle. From here to Geretsried it is gravel, then briefly asphalted, and finally along the Isar riverbank to Wolfratshausen with loose ground again. Traffic: Heavy car traffic from the Isar reservoir to Rothmühle, in Geretsried and on the way to the old town of Wolfratshausen.
