E-Bike Harz: Bodetal Köhlertour Allrode-Altenbrak-Treseburg

Departure from Allrode on the L 92 towards Stiege, after 3 km a very old giant sequoia tree on the right. Continue to the Windenhütte junction, after 4 km turn right onto the Rote Horn and pass the Windenhütte descent, continue to the Harzköhlerei/Köhlerweg junction, about 7 km. After 11 km, Harzköhlerei is reached. Before stopping, it is recommended to take a detour to the Roter Stein/stamp point 54, with a beautiful view over the Rappbodetal dam. Return to Harzköhlerei/stamp point 60. Continue towards Altenbrak on the Köhlerweg path to the Schöne Burg viewpoint/stamp point 63, from there directly to Altenbrak (only for experienced cyclists!) / distance 3.5 km. Alternatively, through the Große Mühlental directly to Altenbrak. Distance 2.4 km. In Altenbrak, following the Bode river, you come to a large parking lot, turn right there and follow the road. Above the road is the guesthouse and restaurant of the Harz yodel master. Then turn left towards Treseburg, Thale, Rosstrappe. Pass the Jägerbaude inn, cross the road, then keep left and follow the Harzer Hexenstieg. After about 20 km, Treseburg is reached at the Hotel Bodeblick. Now follow the Bode river to the road leading to Allrode / distance about 7 km. On the left beside the road, the Bode-Selke-Stieg path can be used. Alternatively, you can ride on the road. After about 2 km, turn right over a bridge onto the road, continue straight to the Jagschloss Windenhütte inn, the last opportunity to rest before returning to Allrode.
