Carretera Austral 6. Etappe Chaiten - Puent Ventisquero

We leave Chaiten in continuous rain, but we have asphalt and a tailwind, so we reach El Amarillo in just over an hour. At the very well-equipped Mercado, we can buy supplies and enjoy a good coffee on top of that. The continuation to Lago Yelcho also takes place on a well-built asphalt road, and the rain has stopped as well. At Lago Yelcho we take a break before continuing on a gravel road. At the Lago Yelcho Hotel by the lake of the same name, we treat ourselves to a drink and meet a colorful group of cyclists who are doing a worry-free trip through Patagonia. We don't linger here and ride on to the CONAF camping at the Puente Ventisquero, which suits us better. After a delicious self-prepared meal, we listen to our anecdotes by the campfire.
