This route is a mix of fairly flat off road trails, with a few healthy climbs (mainly to visit wineries - so it's all good). We circumnavigate Skaha lake, exiting Penticton on the Channel trail, then catching a section of the KVR trail down the westside of Skaha Lake to the lakeside village of Kaleden. There, we stop for our first break at Linden Gardens and Frog City Cafe. It's a bit of a grunt up the hill, but it's worth it! From here, it's a short ride to OK Falls, where we visit Tickleberry's for a mid morning sweet stop. The biggest climb of the day is up to McLean Creek Road, which avoids a section of Eastside Road that is a little too tight for comfortable cycling. Then, it's back along Skaha Lake and a visit to two wineries on the way back to Penticton - Blasted Church and Painted Rock (granny gear required for the beginning of the Blasted Church climb).
