Wir sind im August 2009 von Elea aus hochgefahren zum Bassae-Tempel. Der liegt sehr schön gelegen in einer Höhe von 1200m. D.h. wir hatten aufgrund einiger Gegenanstiege fast 1700HM zu bewältigen. Die Straßenverhältnisse sind durchwegs für das Rennrad geeignet. Die Landschaft ist gigantisch und die Autofahrer nehmen mMn mehr Rücksicht auf Rennradfahrer als hier in Deutschland.
