Start in Tabarz und direkt in den Anstieg zum großen Inselsberg. Wendepunkt auf dem Inselsberg und Abfahrt in Richtung Brotterode. In Brotterode den Abzweig Richtung Kleinschmalkalden nehmen und den kleinen Zwischenanstieg überqueren. In Kleinschmalkalden Richtung Friedrichroda abbiegen und den Heuberg bezwingen. Rückweg über Friedrichrida nach Tabarz.

Sehr schöne Runde mit einem - besonders auf den letzten 1,5km - sehr schweren Inselsberg (Pflaster statt Asphalt erschwert die 10% zusätzlich). Der Heuberg ist deutlich einfacher (auch nach den Strapazen des Inselsberg) und lässt sich dank moderaterer Steigungsprozente und gutem Straßenbelag sehr schön fahren.
