Printre dealuri liniștit-frumoase, după urmele fortificațiilor săsești

I left Mediaș, I fixed the first (and fortunately the only) problems on the bike - a protective disc came off, the chain jumped... I climbed slowly towards Dârlos, where I visited the fortified Saxon church, where a general cleaning was being done for the celebration next week. I continued the beautiful way, among picturesque hills, until Curciu, where I visited the beautifully redesigned Saxon church, and learned many stories from the lady guide. We struggled with the hill that separated us from Băgaciu, and tried to avoid showing that we were a bit scared when we were pushing the bike and a man with a chainsaw in hand was coming from above, cursing and talking to himself and looking not very normal... At the top of the hill, the asphalt turns into a gravel road, crossing an extraordinarily beautiful forest, with clearings like in fairy tales. I took the left road where one crosses from Sibiu County to Mureș :) In Băgaciu there is no one to attend to tourists, those who hold the key were busy in the fields, I saw the church - beautiful, imposing, like in fairy tales - only from the outside. I thought that the climb towards Românești might be friendlier... it was a bit better. We first climbed gently, walked past bicycles where there were dogs, briefly passed through the forest before grazing at the top of the hill. We looked a little at the GPS because initially we only saw the road west, through Delenii. On the GPS, we were exactly as in reality, in the middle of the wilderness. :) We oriented ourselves, defended ourselves from some dogs, returned to the village, asphalt! Yay! In Românești we refilled with water, we restocked on plums from the many that were winking at us along the roadside. We descended smoothly, on a perfectly paved road, among beautiful hills with interesting shapes, through Păucea. Fantastic the absence of any directional sign, instead there is a cool panel with the species of flora from the botanical reserve. At a superficial glance, I didn’t find any special plant :) We returned to Mediaș unexpectedly quickly :), after 8 hours from departure.
