Prudnik - KOPA DA KOPA

The so-called standard ride among the cycling enthusiasts of Prudnik. In other words, if you want to reach Pradziad, first conquer the Kopa... several times.) We start from Prudnik. Pleasant and easy asphalt climbs through Chocim and Dębowiec. At the seventh kilometer, to warm up the brake discs and check the tires, we enter a forest with an interesting descent towards a large clearing, from which there is a beautiful panorama of the Opawskie Mountains and our opponent – Kopa Biskupia. We return to the asphalt to quickly reach the foot of the mountain and choose the most suitable ascent trail. We pass Pokrzywna and arrive at Jarnołtówek. We choose the trail with a shorter, five-kilometer but steeper climb. Before reaching the summit, a stop at the local mountain shelter, and then the steep push uphill. At the summit (889 m above sea level) there is a tower where you can admire the panorama of the Opawskie Mountains and, in good visibility, also the Pradziad mountain (1491 m above sea level – the highest peak in the Jeseníky mountain range in the Czech Republic). From here, it is only downhill, with a choice of the Czech or Polish side. We cross the border for a few minutes, only to return to the trail shortly after. Ahead of us lie six kilometers of steep descent with turns, steps you literally fly over, and forest scenery. Our downhill ride ends in Pokrzywna, where we can bathe in the local swimming area. After the hardships of tough climbs and a high dose of adrenaline during the descents, we can relax in the rural scenery of Moszczanka, where one can frequently stop to enjoy fried trout. The trip ends in the Prudnik meadow.
