About this route
From the village center of Welschnofen, follow the asphalt road towards Gummer (Romstraße - Gummerer Straße) until you reach Pension Erna. There, turn right onto path No. 5, a steep ascent begins. After 200 m, a gravel road leads to the intersection of paths No. 2A and No. 22. Take path No. 2A (Taufenweg) towards Zipperle, then continue along the asphalt road to the inn Lärchenwald. Behind it, turn right onto path No. 2 and immediately continue on path No. 22 towards Wolfsgrubenhoch. From here, take path No. 1 to Nigerpass. From there, follow the main road to Karerpass, passing by Lake Karer and back to Welschnofen.
