Padis-catunul Casa de Piatra-Calineasa-Platoul Padis

The route starts and ends in the same place: Platoul Padiș (I recommend you try the famous langosi with cheese or jam here; yamm, yamm!).

The route begins with a short climb on the asphalt road. It continues with an equally short section of gravel road after which you turn right and leave the main road. You will start to climb passing by 2-3 sheepfolds. Short sections of push bike. Once you reach the top of the first ridge, be careful to turn right during the descent to reach a basin with a small lake. You climb a short slope to exit the basin, and then, passing by another sheepfold, you will begin the descent through Cheile Garda Seacă, on a road with larger stones. It is not possible to descend quickly!

Soon you will reach an intersection where you must continue straight, along the river through Cheile Gardisoara on a very good, gravel road. The scenery is very beautiful and the road can be approached at speed. Attention: don't miss stopping near the entrance to the Cave Gura Apei (the place where the river exits the mountain)

When you reach Casa de Piatra (the first houses at the exit of Cheile Gardisoara), turn left immediately. A steep climb (push bike) follows on a narrow dirt and stony road. The road ends in a wide clearing where you will find some old wooden cabin.

Following the route, there is a wooden church. From this point, there is a short descent on an asphalt road. Attention! Be careful of the point where you will have to leave the asphalt road and turn left.

From here, there follows a very good road that you can approach at high speed. After a few kilometres, you will pass by the cabin of the forester Daniel (that's what it says on it!) which is right next to the enclosure (probably he has everything under control!). Right after the cabin, you will find a spring.

You continue on the road, and at the first intersection, you must turn left onto a road that climbs gently up the Calineasa valley. The road arrives at an intersection where there is also a cabin. From here, going straight, you will reach Padiș in 5 km.
