Formia - Neapel

It remains rather flat and I'm making good progress. I avoid the autopista and take the less-traveled coastal road, but the closer I get to the metropolis of Naples, the more traffic increases. I don't want to reach my daily destination too late, so I only rest briefly. The welcoming committee consisting of lightly dressed dark-skinned ladies lines the coastal road, and there are noticeably many dark-skinned people as well. Many immigrants from North Africa are settling in the metropolitan area of Naples. We will probably also have to get used to this image in Germany. In the early afternoon, I reach the northern outskirts of Naples. I try to navigate through the urban jungle with the help of Google Maps. However, I soon realize that this does not get me any closer to the hotel booked through HRS, as the area is closed to bicycles. Frustrated, I give up and charter a taxi. Just before nightfall, I reach the hotel. After the obligatory shower, I buy some provisions in a small supermarket and soon go to bed. Once again, I have to realize that I do not like large cities.
