Hervas-road to Cabezuela del Valle begins the climb (Puerto Honduras). At the end of the descent from Pto. Honduras, turn right toward Plasencia, passing through Cabezuela del Valle, after a few kilometers Navaconcejo, turn left toward Valdastillas on the N110 to Piornal, but do not go up this side of Pional. Midway up turn right toward Cabrero via the CC17.5 road, at the exit of Cabrero roundabout turn left toward Barrado, then continue toward Arroyomolinos de la Vera, to continue to the road that connects Plasencia with Avila. At the end of the descent turn left toward Jaraiz de la Vera (meal-snack), cross Jaraiz toward Garganta de la Olla, the climb begins (Puerto Piornal). Once down from Piornal, you arrive again at the road that connects Plasencia with Soria (Valle del Jerte), turn right, passing through Navaconcejo and Cabezuela del Valle to turn left and climb again Pto. Honduras and at the end of the descent again in Hervas.
