Mega Loop Musselburgh or BROKE 225km

Following as many trails and foot paths as possible- with the occassional very back road- this covers sheep tracks, old train track, MTB routes, Steep mega climbs...more than one ! From Musselburgh we travel the Esk up to Carberyy- meet the Queen of Scots..then on via the railway into East Lothiam. a pretty trip around the woods at Saulton and at Gifford- then the long haul up the Lammermuirs and over to Oxton- where we briefly re-join the road and make our way via the old railway to Fountainhall- here we have a choice of over the top to the Rt1 ccycle route into Innerleitthen, or via Stow and Thornylee on the road..but off if we can..then at Inners a monster short sharp climb- this gives us some spectacular views off the top- and after taking itn in we rapidly descend into Inners again- we meet up with the Tweed River cycle path to Glentress- do a loop there- preferablt red ! Then back trails into Peebles..from here I need to debelop the trail as I don;t know it- but I want a local guide to take us off road to Peniuqik and then cycle path the rest of the way into Edinburgh- back to Musselburgh..this will be the only wind down on the trail, and I am sure it is going to be needed ! 2.5 Munroaes, and that's a low estimate !
