R5b Wadowice SAC - Kraków (Kostrze)

R5b Wadowice (Pallottines home) - Kraków (Kostrze)

Route variant from the center of Wadowice, ending in Kostrze. Like the R5a route, it mostly runs along existing cycling paths. Unfortunately, most of the route's asphalt surface is damaged, and there are also gravel/muddy sections.

1. Departure from Klecza and connection to the R5a variant - to Kopytówka The route starts in Klecza Dolna, right next to the Pallottines home. We head north until the railway crossing. After crossing it, we enter a GRAVEL ROAD. After 700 meters, turn right and at the next intersection (with a large sign), turn left. After 1.6 km, turn right following the right-of-way and go straight for 6.6 km. Then turn left and continue straight. At the intersection where the priority road turns right, we go straight towards Brzeźnica. After 3.4 km, turn right to Paszkówka.

2. To Skawina. In Paszkówka, turn left, then slightly uphill to the right. Reach the church and pass it on the left. Then descend to the village Wielkie Drogi and turn right at the first intersection. After about 1 km, turn left, crossing the national road and the double-track railway line. Continue on the main road until you reach the renovated bridge over the Łączany - Skawina canal. Just after the bridge, turn right and go straight until the nearest small bridge on the right. Turn onto the small bridge, then go straight, then left towards Ochodza. Go straight until the bridge over the canal, then almost to the roundabout on the Skawina bypass. Before the roundabout, turn left and continue straight. Cross the bridge over the Skawinka and turn slightly left onto an asphalt road. Follow it straight.

3. To Pychowice. For several kilometers, ride "behind the road." When you reach Tyniec and the priority road sharply turns right, we turn slightly left onto a side street. Pass the Benedictine monastery and parish cemetery. Then on a descent, brake sharply to turn gently sharp right. Ride on an asphalt road until nearing the motorway. Then turn left onto a WELL-WORN DIRT ROAD. Carefully cross the flood embankment and pass under the motorway bridge. Enter the kayak track area, then head along the embankment crown towards Kraków city center. After 2.3 km from the motorway, on the left is a gravel descent to Kostrze. After about 1 km, reach the housing estate.

4. Further route. You can continue towards the city center by riding the crown of the Vistula embankment and end your bike ride, for example, in Pychowice. Crowds are expected in Dębniki, and currently, there is no large designated bike parking area.
