R8a Sułkowice - Swoszowice (Kraków)

The route runs through the Pogórze Wielickie and has a second variant ending in Opatkwoice (following the same route or 1-2 km to the west). The route is characterized by relatively large climbs and descents, requiring good physical preparation, and in summer, preparation for the heat.

1. To Myślenice. The route starts in Sułkowice, under the church. For a short distance, we go south towards Zembrzyce, and after a while, we turn left uphill to Myślenice. We keep to the main road all the time, passing through Jasienica and starting the descent to Myślenice. We go straight until the intersection with Dunin-Brzeziński Street, where we turn left at the roundabout. We cross a small bridge over the stream and just after the bridge, we turn slightly right onto Karola Kniaziewicza Street. Again, we turn slightly right (this time onto Dąbrowskiego Street), pass through another roundabout, and RIGHT AFTER THE ROUNDABOUT WE TURN LEFT ON TRAUGUTTA STREET. We ride down Sienkiewicza Street, complying with the right of way until we reach a STOP sign. Then we turn left and pass over the viaduct/temporary footbridge over the Zakopianka, then turn right, after a moment we pass the cemetery (on the left side).

2. To Swoszowice. We enter the village of Polanka, keeping to the road with the right of way. We reach Zawada, go straight, after 1.3 km from the first intersection in Zawada we reach the church and continue straight for 3.4 km. We come to a dangerous intersection where we turn left. After 490 m we turn left again, to Świątniki Górne. After a while, we turn right, staying on the road with the right of way. We go straight for 1.7 km, then we turn slightly left while remaining on the road with the right of way. We enter Świątniki Górne, after 1.8 km we turn left downhill and reach the Kaczorowski roundabout. At the roundabout, we turn right down to Wrząsowice. We cross a bridge and enter Kraków. After 970 m from entering Kraków, we turn slightly left onto Henryka Niewodniczańskiego Street, then after 610 m straight (actually to the right and immediately to the left) onto Adama Krzyżanowskiego Street. After another 610 m we turn right down onto Kazimierza Moszyńskiego Street and descend until we reach WLKS Krakus Stadium (we have it on the right side). We arrive at Kąpielowa Street, turn right and we are at the place - under the church in Swoszowice.

3. Further riding. To get into Kraków inside the IV ring, you can: * turn left onto Kąpielowa Street, after a while you pass over a viaduct over the A4 and over the double-track railway line to Skawina. After a short climb, you reach Zakopiańska Street, but moving there is risky and unpleasant. * You can also (already in Kraków) not turn onto Henryka Niewodniczańskiego Street, but go straight onto Myślenicka Street, reach the roundabout near the A4 and pass over the highway through the Łagiewnicki junction.
