R13a Brzesko - Grabie

The R13a route is one of the routes designated from the east of Krakow for accessing the WYD. The flat Sandomierz Basin and numerous local roads enable a long route to be established. Numerous forests allow for pleasant rides even in the heat. Its extension is the S13 route, leading to Śliwiak Street in Krakow.

1. To Mikluszowice. The route starts under the church of the Parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of the Church and St. James the Apostle in Brzesko. Initially, it heads north on Chopin Street, shortly after it turns right onto Resistance Movement Participants Street. After 300m, the route turns left onto the Fallen Street heading west, after 250m it turns left onto Piłsudski Legion Street, which after another 230m turns right. We travel on it until the intersection with the traffic lights, where we turn left onto Ludwik Solski Street. We go straight until we reach Dworcowa Street, where we turn right and drive under the railway line. We go down Mikołaj Kopernik Street until we pass under the A4 highway. Just beyond it, we turn left and drive west along the highway until we reach the bridge at the Brzesko junction. We turn right to the north and at the first intersection we go straight through DW768. We proceed straight for 1.4 km, then slightly turn right onto Okulice and continue straight for 3.9 km, entering Dąbrówka along the way. At the intersection, we go straight to Uście Solne, entering Dębina, after 3.7 km in Okulice we turn left at the intersection with the islands. We continue straight for 3.6 km, turn left towards Bochnia. After 1.4 km in Majkowice near the chapel we turn right and reach the narrow footbridge over the Raba. After crossing the footbridge we go straight, after passing the church in Mikluszowice we gently turn right, after another 180m we turn left towards Dziewin. After another 300m we turn left and after 600m we cross straight through the intersection with DW965.

2. To Grabi We ride 10.1 km straight west on Żubrostrada, remaining all the time in the center of the Niepołomice Forest. We turn left, after 650m to the right, staying all the time on the Royal Road. After 6.8 km we reach the intersection with DK75, we cross straight through it, then we go down the Royal Road to its end - the intersection with Bocheńska Street. We turn right and immediately left into Wąska Street. At the end of Wąska Street, we turn left into Piękna Street, after 100m to the right into Jagiellońska Street. We cross straight through the intersection with Tadeusz Kościuszko Street, enter Młyńska Street and immediately turn left into Grunwaldzka Street. We go to the end of it, turn right and go straight through the roundabout, entering Grabską Street. We go through it for 4.1 km (along the way it changes its name to Krakowska) to the end of Niepołomice. After another 550m we reach the church in Grabi.

3. Further riding During the vigil and the Sending Mass in Brzegi, there will be about 1.6 million believers. Therefore, the route deliberately ends a few kilometers from the place of celebration.
