R15b Racławice - Węgrzce

The R15b route leads from Racławice to Węgrzce, a village located on hills north of Krakow. It mainly follows local asphalt roads of good quality, although there is around 850m of dirt road in the village of Zastów. It can be bypassed by adding about 3 km.

1. To Radziemice. The route starts at the school in Racławice. About 1 km from the road leading to the church, we turn left onto Wracimowice, shortly passing the road to Kościuszko Mound (on the right). After 1.8 km, we enter an area of intersections where it is VERY EASY TO GET LOST. We continue straight ahead, heading towards Prandocin. After 1 km, we pass the road to Zielenice (to the right, 3 km) and continue straight until Radziemice, where we turn right.

2. To Wysiołek Luborzycki. From Radziemice, we head west. After 350 meters, we turn left, staying on the main road. After 1.2 km, we go straight through a four-lane intersection. We go straight for 3.3 km, passing the intersection with the road to Dalewice, and gently turn right according to the geometry of the road. We pass the road to Chorążyce and after 1.3 km, we reach the intersection with DW775 in Niegardów, which we cross straight ahead (basically just slightly to the left). We continue straight. After 2.8 km, we traverse a sharp right turn, with the entrance to the village of Gnatowice ahead. We pass through Skrzeszowice and after 2.8 km from the entrance to Gnatowice, we turn left, always sticking to the road with priority. In the meantime, the stops for the MPK agglomeration lines start to appear. We pass through Goszyce, then we ride for a while through the forest and in Wola Luborzycka, we pass the four-lane intersection, always going straight. We descend into Wysiołek Luborzycki. We pass the road to Słomniki (to the right, 10 km). Shortly after that, the road turns left. After the curve, we turn right into Baranówka.

3. To Węgrzce. From Baranówka we go straight, following the road. We pass the exit to Dojazdów (on the left). 3.5 km from the intersection in Baranówka, the asphalt road turns right and crosses the railway line. We continue straight on a dirt road (CAUTION FOR MUD!), passing the station in Zastów and after 850m, we cross the railway line, turning right at the four-way intersection. The level crossing is signposted and equipped with half barriers. We continue straight on the road with priority; in Raciborowice we follow the sign to Węgrzec. After 1.1 km in Batowice, we pass the famous sign of Aleksander Kwaśniewski (Dziekanowice 0.7; to the right), and we continue straight until the viaduct on the railway line. Just before the viaduct, we turn right. Next, we follow the road, passing the Kraków Batowice station and turning right uphill. At the top of the hill, we turn left, and after 750m uphill, turn right. After 1 km, we gently turn right, and after 650m, turn left.

4. Further driving. The route is connected by connectors O14 and O15 with neighboring routes. You can ride route O15 to route R16 and then head towards the center. The north of the city is poorly connected to the center. Also, south of Opolska Street, there will be a lot of pedestrians. To reach the area of Błonia (by AGH), it is best to go through Racławicka and Urzędnicza streets.
