Il Cansiglio

There is a place called Cansiglio, a place of ancient beauty that takes your breath away every time you arrive there climbing from the Alpago basin when, after the last bend, the curtain opens onto an immense stage of pastures, woods, and peaks. In that place, there is a forest so large that one glance is not enough to feel it all, that when you enter it, you see the wind singing among the trees, backlit. The beauty of the forest is strongly characterized by the presence of beech trees; in fact, the great forest is mainly composed of pure beech woods, or mixed with silver firs, while the red firs, larches, and birches are more sporadic.
