It is possible to take the road only and then you don't need a MTB. It is a beautifull route, but I advice to avoid Iacobeni for the moment due to high numbers of gypsies. Otherwise you can go into every one of the churches because all of them have people who tend to them and you can find them via their neighbours, just ask who is in charge of the chuch.
