Dillstädt-Bad Königshofen-Dillstädt (Heimweg)

The way back was the tougher part of the route – climbing the Großer Gleichberg requires quite some endurance – about 3.7 km and 350 meters of elevation really takes it out of you – but the surface is quite good (gravel) – descending towards the Waldhaus, the upper part was quite steep and also rocky – it's hard to get up there if you intend to – from Waldhaus I took the straight path up towards the Kleiner Gleichberg until the second cross-path – I haven’t reached the very top yet – all previous attempts ended in failure – then down to Dingsleben – I missed the path to St. Bernhard – the right path led into a small valley – the trail was ruined by heavy tractors and ended at the road to Reurieth – just before Reurieth I went back up towards Dingsleben – then took the intended path in the valley up to St. Bernhardt – through Beinerstadt up to Wachenbrunn – steep paved road down to Henfstädt – the Black Valley up to Oberstadt – via Schmeheim home.
