Unteroberndorf - Zückshut (via cycle path) - via Laubend to Merkendorf - cycle path continues to Drosendorf - cycle path to Straßgiech - continues to Scheßlitz - through the village, then turn right towards Würgau (2.5 km, 5% incline) - upon reaching the top continue towards Hollfeld - via Steinfeld, the Hopfenmühle - then arrives Treunitz - there turn left towards Eichenhüll - Wotzendorf - go straight until the intersection, then right and next left to Kleinziegenfeld (caution: steep descent) - having reached the bottom turn sharply left to Großziegenfeld (steep ascent) - continue to Mährenhüll - left goes to Wattendorf (in the village steep descent) - after leaving the village, turn right towards Staffelstein uphill - following are the villages Kümmersreuth - (long descent) through End - Schwabthal - Frauendorf - continuing on the road, passing through Stublang - Loffeld (to the right the Staffelberg) - Horsdorf - take the roundabout towards Ebensfeld - at the next roundabout again left - via Unterneues - to Ebensfeld - cycle path to Unterleiterbach and to Zapfendorf - in the village left towards Lauf - leaving the village (short steep ascent of 12 %) - at the intersection at the top right - next again to the right to Sassendorf - through the village, then at the intersection right to Hohengüßbach (long pleasant descent) - at the bottom taking the cycle path back to U.berndorf

The route is a mix of pleasant flat sections against a beautifully green shimmering backdrop and some selected hills in a beautiful landscape (Franconian Switzerland and Franconian Jura). From there, you return through the Main valley. There are options for refreshment, e.g., at Hartmann in Würgau or at Zollner in Kleinziegenfeld; but you can also stop in Loffeld or Horsdorf for a nice break. At the ice cream parlor Zapfendorf, there is delicious ice cream.
