About this route

The reason for this trip in August 2012 was a visit to Boitzenburg, little planned, I went spontaneously. Until Lychen the paths were good. Then I got the idea to take a look at the Küstrinchenbach, an old log construction with locks. The path along the stream was still okay, but what followed were bad roads churned up by heavy forest machines. We should have followed the federal road, which we did at the first opportunity, at Mahlendorf. After that, we had good paths up to Prenzlau, even though mostly along a federal road. In the end, there was a cycling path Berlin Usedom parallel to the road, but we stayed on the federal road until Prenzlau.

Scenic-wise it was a very nice trip, but it is better to use the Stone Path from Templin to get to Boitzenburg.
