The route is mostly asphalted (dirt roads on the section after Jezierzyce through the center in Makowo to Sąpy, from the small bridge at the isthmus towards Gubławki, from Wieprz through Pomielin to the intersection with the Karpowo-Śliwa road; suitable for cyclocross bikes). Traffic on the asphalt sections is light to moderate, with only the Szczepkowo-Iława section experiencing heavy car traffic.
