Day 1: Como - Baita Carla (Overnight), Addition: Boletto-Trail
Day 2: on the Dorsale to Bellagio
Start from the Baita di Carla (Brunate/Como) at 997m.
Performance without Monte San Primo: 34km / 920hm-up / 1720hm-down / 5h
Performance with Monte San Primo: 40km / 1170hm-up / 1970hm-down / 6.5h
Access: by SBB to Chiasso, by bike to the Funiculare Como - Brunate
The overnight stay at Baita Carla is worthwhile, very good cuisine, 7 rooms (WC/DU on the floor), quiet, cool, super view and start the next morning at 1000m. Reserve by phone (+39 031 220 186)
The route is very beautiful overall, has several steep sections, beautiful and sometimes challenging trails. The last section Brogno - San Giovanni is very rough and could be bypassed via the road (Via Vallassina).
The refuges are not always occupied during the week (check by phone)
From Bellagio you can continue by ferry to Argegno (1h) or return to Como. Notify bike transport immediately upon arrival at the counter.
