SELO - BRANICA - ŠTJAK

The route starts in Selo na Vrheh. Off the road, we descend down a steep hillside that ends at the Branica stream. Then, we ascend on the opposite bank of the Branica stream. The path soon disappears, so it was necessary to cross the severe slope diagonally through overgrown terrain. At the ridge, we reach an old path that leads us to the summit, where remnants of a fortified settlement connecting two peaks on the ridge can be seen.

Initially, the path follows a forest trail that has been thoroughly transformed by an old track. The route ends below the village of Gradišče, where we join the main ridge road and descend to Štjak and back to the starting point.
