About this route

Variation on the St Pauls route which takes you to Mardi Gras village at around 1,200ft. Gradients out of St George 6 - 10% with short sections around 15%. Once you turn off to Mardi Gras the last 400ft reaches nearly 20% in places. Well worth it for the views and coolness at the top. Coming down to St Pauls road gradient hits 25% - for fun try doing route in reverse. Long descent to Red Gate and then easy ride with couple of hills back to Sugar Mill. Great training ride.
