Marxzell - Schwanner Warte

From the parking lot at Graf-Rhena-Weg in Marxzell (towards Burbach, at the sharp curve) first a short stretch of roadway towards Schielberg. In the sharp curve, take the left path into the forest on a nice forest trail until briefly crossing the road from Schielberg to Maisenbachtal, after about 150m, turn right into the forest again (forest highway). With the first buildings of Holzbachtal in view, the path bends to the right and a steep section follows, which is compensated at the next fork (downhill, keep left towards Bergschmiede). In the yard of Bergschmiede, keep left, towards the roadway, crossing it directly. Small trail steeply uphill to the forest road, possibly get off and walk up (steep). For those who prefer riding, just stay left on the road, after about 200m there is a hairpin turn right onto the proper path. Cross the path on the map, the trail continues uphill, or follow the forest road to the right, at the next forest road crossing keep left and you will end up on the same path. The trail is very narrow, with firs and bushes right on the edge, tall grass. So the forest road is the safer option :) Out of the trail, upon reaching the forest road keep left. At the next intersection, choose the middle of the three paths: a pleasant, long ascent. Follow the path straight until there is only left or right. Go right (ascent!) Next opportunity to the left (forest road). At the next intersection keep right, after 250m turn left towards the main road (Mönchstraße). Stay left on the road, right across the street the path continues. Here, bear slightly right until reaching the crossing of the 5 paths with the bench at the tree in the middle, just before Dennach. Now turn sharply left, downhill. Follow the path straight until Schwanner Warte.

The return route continues along the bike path between the hotel and the airport (caution: watch for traffic lights due to flight operations) along the edge of the forest towards the sports field Conweiler. Here, unfortunately, you have to ride a piece on the road, until the roundabout, from the roundabout back to the forest road. At the roundabout, almost turn sharply left, passing the 'Esel' and then a short section downhill. In the forest then goes up again a bit - and after a few meters turn right (trail), towards Marxzell (see sign), a small shortcut. When the trail meets the next path, keep right and follow the further path straight along the edge of the forest. In the forest, go straight uphill until you reach the forest hut (woodwork) that you have already passed on the way there. At the hut turn right and then you can take the beautiful way back that you already came ... To not miss the trail you went up earlier, just pay attention to the small wooden cart at the edge of the forest ... or better stay on the forest road, next right and well ... just the way back you came ...
