About this route
Very difficult,
only for cyclists with very good condition. Great preparation for Schwarzwaldmarathon, Ötztaler, Ciba AlpenCup, Dolomiti, etc. ;-)
The navigation through Kirchzarten and Hinterzarten is a bit tricky, otherwise orientation is easy.
In nice weather, THIS is the Schwarzwald tour!
Those who ride the tour in a clockwise direction have the sheep judge in front of them at WiedenerEck/Stohren ;-), the Kandel is easier from this direction.
The tour can be shortened at Turner (approx. 20km/550Hm>1h): not via Spierzen (the turn-off comes about 1km after the Turner Pass height) but directly to St.Märgen.
