This will be the penultimate bike mass this year. The theme will be about ways to secure your bike against theft, both actively and passively. That means where not to leave your bike and where to store it. Which security methods should not be used, which are conditionally acceptable, and which are recommended. Are there ways to increase the number of recovered bikes?

A few suggestions on how to take care of your bike:

1. A thief needs 2 seconds to cut a standard cable lock.
2. Lock your bike by the frame and at least one wheel.
3. U-locks secure bikes much better against theft.
4. For a very ;) expensive bike, consider a spy bike.
5. Do not store your bike on a common stair landing.
6. If you keep your bike in a basement or underground garage, install a solid anchor there.
7. Do not tempt fate, and never leave your bike unattended, even for a moment.
