Rance Jemeppe s/ Sambre

Best part: Thuin-Charleroi!

Between Rance and the lake, you ride through little towns, up and down. Nice.

The first lake (platte taille) is very nice. It goes up and down a bit.

The second lake is not as nice as the first one but okay, it goes up and down a bit more.

Then you go through the hills in the countryside and get to the Ravel just after Mertenne. You go down through the forest until Thuin, you don't even have to pedal, nice break! Just before Thuin there is a restaurant for cyclists to eat, but you can also buy nice sandwiches in the main street of Thuin.

The part between Thuin and Charleroi is amazing. The valley is really beautiful, you pass next to an old abbey in ruins. Then you enter Charleroi, and you see big factories in ruins, a good overview of Charleroi history. Nice graffitis too. I loved it.

There are factories until Farciennes, but not as impressive as the previous part, a bit boring after what you've seen before. Then it's really nice until the end.
