Zelazowa Wola - Warszawa przez Kampinos v1

Proposal for Saturday (27.08.2016): Getting there by KM train to Piasecznica. From there, a few kilometers of asphalt to Żelazowa Wola and then we join the picturesque Southern Forest Trail (green), which we ride until the border. Then Kacapska Droga northwards (yellow trail). This is one of the wildest corners of Kampinos. On the way, a swamp on both sides and incredible sounds coming from it. The first crossing of the beautiful Łasica canal. On this section, we will probably meet no one :-) After the canal, we switch to the red trail to visit the store in Górki and replenish fluids. This will be the first store since Żelazowa Wola, so we must have water reserves for the first 35 km! And now for the highlight – Szczebel. Some get chills just thinking about it, others will feel the atmosphere once there :-) Wonderful few kilometers after which your arms will hurt a bit :-D We avoid the main asphalt 579 and go back to Stara Dąbrowa to head south on the yellow trail. Only to switch shortly after to green and then to red. For the second time that day, we will cross the Łasica Canal. We go back a bit but do not skip OOS Zamczysko and OOS Karpaty :-) From there, via Miłosna Górka, we race to Roztoka where there will be time to relax, eat and refill fluids. For those unaware – there will be no beer in Roztoka this year :-) After the break, we continue on the red trail and after the cemetery in Wiersze switch to the Warsaw Uprising trail (yellow) and go up and down to Zaborów Leśny :-) The end of Kampinos is the Blue Edge Trail, which will take us to Lipków and Izabelin. Here you can stop for a very tasty pizza :-) Then we break through to Bemowo along the edges of the Bemowo Forest and can finish in Łoska at Radiowa. We have the whole day for the route, but 90 km in Kampinos can be tough, so there are some shortcut options. I won't skip Szczebel! :-D Realistically, with arrivals, it will be well over 100 km. The route should be ridden solo. Tourist pace ++ meaning we don't race but ride as fast as possible to then have time to stop, chat, look and smile. Whoever can, join in! :-)
