After a short entrance, the road steeply ascends at Oberlangenfeld and we go over a trail to the hanging bridge Oberlangenfeld. The trail is a series of ups and downs, may have some pushing sections, but offers a super view at the bridge and if not too crowded, is passable. From Sölden, we take a trail, completely rideable also by technicians, towards Zwieselstein. From Zwieselstein, we get into the meat of it, 20 km uphill with about 1200 m of elevation gain. A second alternative that I personally used to conserve energy is a bus connection from Zwieselstein to Obergurgle, making sure it carries bikes. The second option would be to ride to the start of the Gurglerstraße, so another approximately 8 km with 370 m of elevation gain, and from there take another bus for 6.50 euros to the summit. After the Timmelsjoch, you first roll over asphalt to the valley and after about 11 kilometers, at a local spot, you turn right onto a gravel path to Rabenstein. If you need more challenge, you can use a connecting trail; it is rideable but technically demanding. In Rabenstein, I can only recommend the Hotel Rabenstein; family-run, great food, very friendly, probably the best hotel of the trip.
