About This Route

Die West-Runde ist die anspruchvollste Strecke der Reise, aber eine die man nicht vergisst. Entgegen der Berechnung sind es nur 1.200 Hm auf 74 km. Bis Marina di Campo plagt uns etwas der Verkehr und eine erste Steigung. Danach geht es lange ruhig und ausssichtsreich immer der Küste entlang. Kleine Örtchen, schöne Strände und viel Natur. Wir suchen uns einen schönen Picknickplatz mit Meerblick. Danach ein längerer Anstieg bis Marciano, dann steil runter an die Ostküste. Ab Procchio hat uns die Zivilisation wieder und ab Portoferraio auch wieder der Verkehr.
