shortly after Pomarance, a sharp left up to Micciano, then back down into the Cecina valley and up again to Querceto, then past the 'eagle's nest' Sassa to Canneto.

one last push to Monteverdi, with headwind another one to Sassetta. but now comes the dream road with a thousand curves, each more beautiful than the next, down to Suvereto. almost 18 km of pure curve delight!

now only the old wash basin fountain beckons, to dip your head into the cool water up to your shoulders while climbing to Belvedere.
