Lange Runde von S. Pere nach Frankreich

This route should definitely be ridden in the direction it is uploaded here. After the turnoff to Agullana and the climb, you reach the top at the border. It is located at the end of a square, and you won’t believe your eyes: the good asphalt of the (Spanish) road and the square ends in nothing! The steep downhill gravel and sand path cannot be described otherwise. For the first French kilometers, some cyclocross experience on a road bike is very helpful. Gradually, heading toward the valley, the route turns into an asphalted road. After Las Illas, you should turn left onto the narrow side street to Ceret: pure scenery! From Ceret, the route is relatively busy, but never stressful. Towards the Spanish border, it becomes quieter again.
