Embark on a journey of discovery along the Neisse tour. On a circular route of approximately 150 km, you will experience the diversity of the Upper Lusatia region in Silesia. Numerous sights along the route and the picturesque heath-pond landscape make this tour a unique experience.

It is advisable to start the tour in Niesky. In the center of the small town lies Zinzendorfplatz with the Church of the Brethren and the Old Pedagogium. On the Frosch cycle path towards Rothenburg, you can admire the wooden house settlements, the first prefabricated houses made in Germany from the 1930s. In Horka, it is worth visiting the fortified church with its well-preserved 700-year-old defensive wall. Families with children should plan a detour to the Kaltwasser playground or the cultural island Einsiedel in Zentendorf. Passing the idyllic watershed in Geheege, head towards the Neisse. Here, boat tours on the border river are a special experience. The small town of Rothenburg attracts visitors with its charming alleys, beautiful parks, and an aviation museum. Further north, you will reach the unique pond area of Niederspree. The nature reserve is a paradise for ornithologists. Following the Wolf's cycle path, you will then reach the Erlichthof settlement in Rietschen. The timber house settlement is a living museum village with numerous craftsmen. Don't miss the Nochten Erratic Stones Park, an artistically designed landscape park. Your tour continues through Reichwalde on the Sea Eagle Path. You can cross the biosphere reserve of the Upper Lusatian heath and pond landscape along a nature educational trail. In Thräna, the wildlife and goat park, as well as a "Gaudi-Golf" facility, invite you to rest. Nearby, you can enjoy the panorama from the observation tower on the Hohen Dubrau. On the way, it is worth detouring to Weißenberg to visit the Old Gingerbread Factory, the oldest and only one in its original form used as a museum gingerbread workshop in Europe. In Döbschütz, you can visit the oldest castle in Upper Lusatia. The Krobnitz Castle also has an impressive presentation. Through the small town of Reichenbach, located on the Via Regia, you reach the smallest mountain range in Germany, the Königshainer Mountains. An educational path and a museum inform about the historical granite quarrying. The Königshainer castle complex with "Steinstock", Renaissance castle and Baroque castle is one of the most important facilities in the region. The nearly 1000-year-old town of Görlitz offers a unique architectural ensemble with about 4000 monuments of all architectural styles. The return journey to Niesky passes by the Quitzdorf reservoir, an attractive body of water for all water sports enthusiasts and a paradise for anglers.
