Only last night did I learn about this new panoramic road, inaugurated in April 2016, 2.5 km long and located at 900 meters elevation, connecting Bossico to Ceratello, two small mountain villages overlooking Lake Iseo. So this morning I set off full throttle on my mountain bike to check it out. I reached Lovere, where I took the road leading to Clusone. Then, after 6 km of gentle climbing, I turned right towards Bossico, climbing another 6 km that were not particularly challenging. Following the GPS track I prepared on my device, it was not difficult to find the path I was interested in. It is really very scenic, with enchanting views of the lake and the Valcamonica, but it features a heart-stopping initial stretch with protruding stones; so I preferred to walk that part. The other short steep bits are, however, rideable. Obviously, you can also ride this road in the opposite direction, but it seemed quite steep to me. Once I descended to Ceratello and Costa Volpino, given the beautiful day, I took the opportunity to do the lake loop and a section of the Oglio bike path.
