Baća se vraća

We hadn't ridden the hill before Villa Gavrilović. It didn't make sense. We can climb it by bike (which we've confirmed a few times), but we saved ourselves for the ascent to Hrastovica since we hadn't ridden for a while. On my part, the climb to Hrastovica went surprisingly well and without stopping. A continuous ascent from the base to the summit. Baća took a short break about halfway up, and I continued. He reached the top 15 minutes after me. He says that at one point he 'got a little lost.' Namely, for some reason, he went off the main road and took one of the forest paths. Soon he realized his mistake and returned to the main road. We rested about 10 minutes in a shelter at the turning point and then headed toward the viewpoint. The path to the viewpoint was muddy and full of leaves, so the leaves stuck to the mud on the tires and got into the fork blocking the front wheel. The same happened with the rear wheel: leaves, branches, and mud created a blockage by the derailleur. Therefore, we pushed the bikes in parts, stopped to clean, etc. The rest of the way, downhill to Pecki, was much better and the descent went smoothly. Baća crashed his bike above Gornja Bačuga, but we have to understand him: the front brake was too tight, and he was listening to inspiring music for the descent, so he got carried away. The ghostly Marian sanctuary, monument, or whatever at Pecki reminded Baća, and me too, of Mexico. I tried to climb a rock that loomed over Maria, but it was too crumbly. The rest of the route went without major delays, except when Baća wanted to light a cigarette. Great ride, great day.
