IDYLL WITH CASTLE AND STREAM VALLEYS Hiking tour 3 starts at the famous Castle Beaufort and leads from there through the enchanting landscape around the municipality of Beaufort: rocks, stream valleys and great views! BEAUFORT The village of Beaufort is located on a plateau, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and lovely hiking trails. To the north of the municipality, hiking trail B1 passes by the small chapel 'Klaisgen'. A special event in Beaufort is the annual summer art festival 'Art in Beaufort', where artworks are also installed in the castle ruins. CASTLE BEAUFORT The castle ruins adjacent to the castle offer a beautiful sight and are a popular destination for a visit. A multimedia show demonstrates the formation and development of the castle. At Castle Beaufort, the well-known Cassero (currant liqueur) as well as other liqueur specialties are handmade. Tasting and sales take place at the castle ruins. SAUERUECHT The forest area of Saueruecht continuously offers beautiful viewpoint locations, providing a glimpse into the valley of the Sauer. HAUPESCHBACH AND HALERBACH The valleys of Halerbach and Haupeschbach offer a wild romantic image: the hiker encounters small wooden bridges, lush moss growth and huge boulders. In the rocks, it is pleasantly cool even in summer.
