Sfantu Gheorghe

The route starts in the Crișului Valley. Here the ascent begins on the gravel road DJ 121A towards Aita Mare, but at the top, leave this road and take a right on a dirt track. You climb a little bit more, descend a little bit until a steep drop and a water crossing. Here you turn right and shortly arrive in the Zălan Valley. You can stop at Prince Charles' house and the nearby mineral water basin, then continue on the forestry road through the forest, being careful not to go towards Malnaș. There’s one more steep ascent on the route and then a spectacular descent down to Calnic. From here, head towards the Crișului Valley.
