About this route
Route
Beautiful XC route. We did it with a 9-year-old child (quite sporty). The first part alternates between road (no traffic) and small singletrack. Then we tackle the climb up to the plateau via a poorly paved and very little frequented road. From the plateau, we head down via a forest road that then transforms into a wide singletrack with quite a few stones. The return is along the canal (flat and grassy).
Access to the start
Cheval Blanc. We started from Cassouillet but it is also possible to start from the Valloncourt parking lot.

The 2nd part of the stone descent is less obvious.

No carrying necessary.
Author's comments on the ride
When starting the descent, it is possible to take the small path on the right. It is more challenging and more direct.
Rideability
Done in May in the early morning. I think the climb in high heat must be exhausting.
