Felsentrail Hornberg

Start is at the parking lot 'Am Läuterberg' or directly at the railway viaduct. From there, you'll pass by the train station, then turn left over the tracks. Follow the road uphill for about 100m and then turn right into W. Hausenstein-Str. Climb a serpentine and don’t miss the trail entrance (raute). From here, the trail rises along a rocky, sometimes narrow, and not entirely safe path (caution in wet conditions!). At the district 'Am Rubersbach', you'll briefly ride on a forest road or asphalt. At the upper end of the street, get back onto the trail and continue climbing to 'Bertaquelle'. A good rest stop and an opportunity to enjoy fresh spring water. From here on, you continue on forest paths with some fantastic views over Hornberg towards 'Windeckhütte'. Here, at the highest point of the tour, it's worth climbing the viewpoint rock. From now on, it's a pleasant trail with a few switchbacks downhill. Too quickly you’ll be back down. Then you roll back towards Hornberg. In the town, you can find good places to eat!
