05 Padron - Boiro

From Padrón, we set off along the paths of the Brañas de Laiño, meadows flooded by the river Ulla. After 9.5 km, we turn left onto the road DP-3301, which we continue on for about 3 km until we take a right turn towards Sestelo. From here, we take dirt roads and paths uphill for 1.5 km, continuing further away from the shore until we rejoin the DP-3301 at PQ 18.5 of our route. After about 2 kilometers on this road, we take a left turn towards the Praias de Porrón and the Cunchas, and continue on secondary roads with options to divert to different coves and beaches until we reach the town of Rianxo.

People who decided to take the short option for this stage by catching the bus in Padrón join this stage of the Encontriños in Rianxo.

From Rianxo, we continue along the shoreline until we pass under the bridge of the AG-11 motorway at the height of Taragoña. Here, we alternate between sections of secondary roads and entries to the AC-305, which we will definitively leave at PQ 33.2 on a left turn that, after 2 km, takes us to the Castro de Neixón and the Barbanza Archaeological Center, which offers guided tours.

A kilometer after leaving this megalithic space, we turn left onto DP-1106 for 3 km. From there to Boiro, the signs lead us along the coastline, crossing beaches, ports, shipyards, fish-processing plants, and lagoons.
