Falkenberg-Torgau-Wittenberg

Directly from the Torgau train station, the cycling tour is shorter but also significantly more expensive. More than 80 km on this tour comes at the expense of sightseeing. Especially the section from Dommitzsch to Sachau is away from the Elbe through slightly hilly terrain along the old railway line. Just before Sachau, you also have to travel the heavily trafficked B182 for about 400 m if you miss the small turnoff. Worth experiencing is the route from Priesitz to Pretzsch and the city of Pretzsch itself. In Pretzsch, the Wieckhaus, the memory of Strittmatter, the castle, the Badegasse, and the town mill and church are noteworthy. Through the castle park, you continue along the Elberadweg. Then follow endless kilometers on and along the dike. Next is Wartenberg, where, next to the castle, a farmstead stands out due to its building materials. From Wartenberg to Melzig, the wind is annoying. But after Dabrun, you are on a wonderfully beautiful dike path. In Pratau, you must be careful to find the path through the Elbe meadows, with which you go under the B2 to reach the Elbe Bridge. After the long tour, there's no sense of interest left for the city of Wittenberg, and one is glad to reach the station. The return to Berlin is via track 1.
