Okruh Burdou (Kovacovske kopce)

Chlaba - Kovacovske Kopce - Kamenica n/Hronom - Chlaba. From Kamenica n/Hronom, an official cycling route leads along the local road to Chlaba, where the cycling route turns left into the hills in parallel with the blue TZT (forest road). At the next milestone, we leave the blue TZT and continue slightly left along the cycling path towards the crossroads at Bajtava, where the asphalt road begins towards Bajtava, i.e. in the direction of Pri troch studnickach (Ipel lodge). However, at the crossroads, we leave the cycling route and continue left, where we reconnect with the blue TZT (forest road) towards Skaly - views. We cross a beautiful forest clearing, connect with the red TZT, which runs parallel to the blue TZT, and finally reach Skaly - views, where the blue TZT ends. This is the highest point of the entire cycling track and there are beautiful views of the Danube River, the Basilica of Esztergom, and the opposite Hungarian hills. (Duna-Ipoly NP) From here, we continue on the red TZT (Kovacovske kopce educational trail), briefly undulating along the ridge with two or three views of the Danube, followed by a steep descent down to the village of Kamenica n/Hronom, where we reconnect with the cycling route that leads along the local road. Although the entire cycling trip in the hills does not run exclusively on cycling paths, since heavy forestry machines and off-road vehicles with drunken hunters can also move through this area... a bicycle can too. It is a beautiful, lightly to moderately demanding trip to warm up. Along the way, you can encounter, besides tractors, foresters or hunters, also wildlife. Protect nature.
