Liestal-Belchen-Chellechöpfli-Liestal

For all elevation fans, this tour is particularly suitable. Almost everything can be ridden. The 'highlight' is definitely the descent from Chellechöpfli to Reigoldswil.

Time required for the entire tour is between 3.5 and 4.5 hours, with a moderate technical difficulty.

If you don’t want to carry your bike up to Lauchflue (after 18.9km, about 20min.), you can continue along the hiking trail and then at the next junction head towards 'Oberer Belchen' to climb up to the restaurant. Then simply ride on the road to Chilchzimmersattel. However, with this variant, you might miss the rare chamois from Basel that I have often observed during the ascent on foot!

Alternatively, you can also go over Helfenberg, rather than going around it to the south. However, this is quite tedious, as I can report from personal experience. Only a few hundred meters in ascent and the short descent can be ridden.
