Za Vlastíkem do hor, masakrální výjezd na Bukovku a tak ...

I just decided, it's a hot afternoon and I thought I'd go see Vlastík. While harvesting wood, he broke his leg several times and crawled out of the woods for help - a real Czech Meresjev :-). Now he has titanium plates in his leg, which at least raised their value since they are now in bad shape. Well, no more lounging by the pool, I get on my bike and go. First, it whooshes along the Elbe to LT, from there the pace slows down and I climb towards Třebušín. It's going well, I'm fresh. From Třebušín it gets harder and the climb doesn't end, there's still Lhota. But I won't get there, I'm heading towards the brutal climb from Zubrnice to Bukovka and that red, horsey road. I'm at Bukovka, I couldn't miss that. I don't linger, I descend to Příbram, but I can't find Vlastík. Well, he doesn't answer the phone, so I saddle up on my bike and head to Rychnov and then free-fall towards the Elbe. And I thought I had grown out of that. One last 'wiggle' along the Elbe and at the end of the trail, I treat myself to a beer. I didn't catch up with Vlastík, but it was a productive afternoon, 61 km and 980 m of elevation gained.
